The Michelsberg near Grabo is the highest elevation in the Fläming, where steep mountainsides and dizzying heights hardly set the tone. It is much more the varied flora and fauna as well as the charm in Fläming towns like Zerbst, Coswig or Lutherstadt Wittenberg. The extensive Fläming forest in combination with open field and meadow landscapes is home to numerous species of game. On the other side, brook lampreys swim through the clear water or storks sail through the pure air. Forests and meadows are adorned with arnica and orchids, which allow the Fläming Nature Park to be at its most beautiful, no matter what time of year it is - who needs mountains when so many hills offer great vantage points, as they do in the Fläming?
