Köthen Zoo

The Köthen Zoo in the middle of the Fasanerie park invites families in summer and winter. Many native wild and domestic animal species live here, including ibex, lynx and red deer, but also many exotic contemporaries such as Bennett’s kangaroos and Barbary macaques.

In 1884, a facility with golden, silver and hunting pheasants opened for visitors. This developed into our present zoo with its nearly 400 animals of 125 species. They all look forward to many visitors!
