Schmetterling im Alaris Schmetterlingspark

Alaris Butterfly Park

The vast tropical landscape of the Alaris Butterfly Park (1,000 m²) lets visitors marvel at over 140 species of butterflies of all sizes and colors. With a little luck, you can even witness these beautiful creatures mate and hatch.

Besides typical spring insects such as Swallowtail butterflies, you can also see Indian Oakleaves, bright blue Emperors or nimble Owl butterflies hovering through the air. In April, the first Atlas silk moths also hatch. With wingspans of up to 30 cm, they are the giants among the butterflies.

Guided tours of the Alaris Butterfly Park

Visitor groups can take guided tours of the butterfly park by appointment. For school classes, project visits are a possibility this year, ideally complementing biology lessons.

Wittenberg Tropical Night

Every year, the Alaris Butterfly Park invites you to a magical evening in the illuminated rainforest with entertaining guided tours, including a snack and lots of interesting facts about the most beautiful representatives of the insect family.
