Bauhaus Tour

This circular 17-km-tour through Dessau is aimed at people interested in Bauhaus architecture. Passing the Bauhaus and the masters’ houses (parts of the UNESCO World Heritage), the route leads to the Kornhaus and to Dessau-Törten in the southern part of the city, connecting architectural monuments of the Bauhaus period. In the northwest of Dessau, participants explore the masters’ houses. In the city’s south, the Törten settlement serves as an example of Bauhaus architecture. Other monuments include the Kornhaus excursion restaurant[1] , designed by Carl Fieger, directly on the Elbe, and Walter Gropius’s former labor exchange, reminiscent of an industrial building.
