Lake Goitzsche invites visitors to swim, sail, dive, wakeboard and surf. A well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails surrounds the lake, offering many opportunities for joggers and skaters. A 26-meter-water tower floating on the 23-km²-lake offers panoramic views of the newly formed post-mining landscape. Those who like speed can surf across the lake at up to 30 km/h thanks to a modern wakeboard facility. Away from the lake, interesting nature experiences and exciting landscape art projects await cyclists and hikers alike. All routes can be done in a day and are suitable for families.
Excursion boats are a super-relaxing way to explore the Goitzsche, and both the MS Reudnitz and the MS Vineta offer regular round trips.
