Castle Wallwitzburg is idyllically located in the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve and offers a unique view over the Elbe floodplain. It is an important focal point in the Georgengarten. Built in 1800, the castle was reopened to the public in 2006, and in 2011 the bay windows and castle rooms were reconstructed by the Friends of Wallwitz Castle Association.
