Regional Menu

The Anhalt-Dessau Cookery Association organises the annual "Regional Menu" competition.
For the ninth time, the jury headed by chairman Thomas Wolffgang scrutinised the culinary menus of participants from the Anhalt-Bitterfeld, Dessau-Roßlau and Wittenberg regions for Saxony-Anhalt's "Regional Menu" cookery competition. Every year, the participating restaurants are set the task of realising changing themes in three culinary dishes. At least five regional ingredients must be "cooked up" for the regional menu.

The most recent members of the jury were Thomas Wolffgang, Daniel Giesicke, Dr Ralf-Peter Weber and Stefan B. Westphal.
"In addition to flavour and appearance, the motto must be implemented well. What we also attach great importance to is that the food is marketable. It's about positioning the dish as a regional dish in the region," the online magazine KÜCHE quotes the jury chairman Wolffgang.
